Our 2nd Anniversary

Yesterday was our 2nd anniversary! I know some people will say time flies, so fast 2 years already...but to me, time couldn't have passed slower. I feel like it hasn't only been 2 years! My life has changed so much for the better since the day I met honey, it is hard to believe it hasn't already been like 10 years......haha!

I was at a loss about what to buy for my honey when I came across this website with really cool and fun stuff and decided to order this for him......

**A real conversation piece, this clockwork wonder emits whacky sounds from its built-in sound chip and clamber about. SpinFidget now has a place of pride in Honey's car! I feel like getting one for myself to entertain me when I'm dozing off at my office desk. **

My honey bought something for me which I have wanted to buy for the longest time. It's a limited edition book plus cd of all the definitive "xinyao" singers, composers and their songs. I know it is almost sold out at most places. Thanks honey! Giving me something to do with music......you'll never go wrong! Unless you buy me some Cyndi Wang, Stefanie Sun or Sylvester Sim cd...those I'll probably throw out the minute I get them! No mercy shown!

Anyway, back to our anniversary....it hasn't been easy maintaining a relationship for so long and I guess there is still a long long road in front of us. And I will enjoy every minute, every second of time we spend together.....for the rest of our lives! Looking forward to receiving good news about our HDB flat application....that will probably be the best anniversary gift to us!

My Increasing Collection.....

I got really bored last night and decided to take pics of all my dangling earrings and do an inventory. Ha ha ha....I really need a earrings rack of some kind to hang all my earrings. I've got about 22 pairs of dangly types now but knowing me, it's just gonna keep increasing and increasing and increasing.....I really wonder when was the exact time this earrings craze started.....hmmmm.....! All I know is now that it has started, there is no turning back! My poor bank account!! And after the discovery of this online jewellery shop www.asos.com on FP, this craze has become more serious. I'm so into bracelets too.....arrrghhh!

See the Birthday Boy smiling so happily!

It was fun but ended really late.....by the time I got home was about 3am+. Then I spent the next hour taking boh liao pictures of my earrings while waiting for honey to call me when he got home after sending us all back. Think I slept at 4.30am. Super tired!

Anyways, gotta go catch some ZzzzzzzZZZZzzzzzzs now. Oyasumi!

I'm tired, tired, tired and.............injured!

I have been feeling so tired and so sleepy lately, not surprising I have no "energy" to blog.

Been sleeping real late so not enough beauty sleep there...gotta replenish over this weekend, hopefully! One reason for the late nights I suspect is the very exciting and un-put-downable books I borrowed recently. Been reading quite a few Philip Margolin books and they are so gripping! I think I have rekindled my interest in legal thrillers. Criminal law has always been my interest since poly days. Probably if I had gone into that after I graduated, I would still be in the legal profession but well, things don't always go the way you want them to.

This morning while trying to run for the train, I sprained my ankle. It wasn't a full fall on the bum (THANK GOD!) but still feeling the effects now. Ankle starting to hurt a bit more as the day progresses. And it just takes longer to get to anywhere as I'm walking at about half my normal walking speed. ARrrrrghhh!

I would have taken the day off if not for the fact that my boss is also on medical leave and my department is down to 2, so not very responsible of me to take MC. And also, there is that Recreation Commitee dinner later at Bumbu so have to go for that. I was notified a while ago that our Rec Comm chairman has a very bad toothache and will be on MC for the rest of the day, meaning he's not going for the dinner. Another comm member also had problems with his leg/ankle and is also not going. Gosh....we better find a bomoh or something to do some prayers.....off to a very Suay start. This is the first function we are attending as the new Rec Comm and all these members are down. And chairman wants me to say something on his behalf if asked for a speech....what the f**k am I supposed to say?? And I'm so bloody soft-spoken, probably nobody will be able to hear me at all! Oh well, I'll probably say something like "Let's all eat!". Hahaa!

Shit! I hope my ankle gets well soon. The last time I sprained it, it took months to heal! I had to go to a sinseh to get it fixed!

Oh yeah, last Wed, Thur and Fri, I attended this workshop called The Art of Project Management. I was initially very reluctant to go because I have to go with my boss and also I have a lot of work to clear. But my boss insisted and well, no choice. In the end, I enjoyed the 3 days thoroughly and learnt a lot. Whether I will get to apply those skills in my job, I'm not sure but then, it was a good learning experience. The food not bad too.....hehe. Our lunches were buffets in Sheraton Tower's main cafe, had that the first 2 days. Oh, on the very first day at lunch, I was at the buffet table getting some salad and this disgusting Caucasian old man came up to me and chatted with me. I thought he was trying to be friendly so I sort of entertained him a little, then he suddenly asked me if I'm looking for a husband! I'm like.......what the fuck you wanna know for?! Then I said no and wanted to walk away then he continued talking, saying oh why not, am I too young or what. Then he looked at my plate with the salad and said oh, so you're on a diet, you don't have to be, you're perfect...oh god! And he gave me the once-over TWICE! I wanted to roll my eyes but my upbringing forces me to be polite. I just smiled and concentrated on getting my food. Finally he moved off.....gross! I'm not an SPG! And I don't think I look like one!!

I hate Auditions!

Hey all......I went for Hark auditions last Saturday with Charlene, Kelvin and Jason (aka Ji-ge!). It was quite disastrous for me......LOL! What's new......was supposed to go up and do a little intro and say the index number.....I only remembered to say I was an ex-student of Hark then after I got off stage, I realised I forgot to tell them my name! Godssss!! Sighs!! I don't make it this time, it's ok, think I might try again! I think the one amongst us who got very strong chance is Ji-ge! My idol!! We went ktv before the audition that day. After almost 4 years of not hearing Ji-ge sing.....the minute he opened his mouth to sing, I wanna swoon man.....haha! Still as power as ever! Our qing ge wang zi! A picture of Ji-ge in action (sorry, a bit blur....)

Anyways, back to the auditions....it's always the nerves that give me problems. I might be able to overcome that with more practice on stage but if I never get through any auditions, how am I going to get that practice on stage? It's like a catch-22 situation here! It's one thing to be singing alone in my room in front of my mirror with only my cat in the audience and quite another to be standing in a room full of people and 3 judges scrutinising every inch of you and every note you sing! Well, we're supposed to wait about a week before the results......but I'm not getting my hopes up.....haha.....didn't prepare very much for this audition so it will be entirely my fault. But it was fun!

Oh yeah....the important thing is.....after the audition, we all went to Geylang to EAT! All too gan jeong before the audition to eat anything, especially Charlene and me. We had the famous Lor 9 Beef Hor Fun and then continued eating next door at the equally famous Yong He soyabean drink. Wah....really satisfying! After all that excitement and pigging out, all I wanna do is sleep! Which was what I did...K.O....hehe!

On Sunday, we went to Ange's house for pot luck party! Well, small party....just the 5 of us! I brought curry puffs and ice cream! Mark (and Ange...hmm) cooked tom yam soup and chicken curry...all yummy! And Jol brought the healthiest item (well, as compared to the rest)......potato and egg salad...which is really delicious too. After all the pigging out....we watched Laws of Attraction starring Pierce Brosnan and Julianne Moore on SCV and then played a game of Risk. Wanna guess who lost?! Shit.......don't even think of saying it! Haha.....it was my first time playing the game and was quite clueless and "suay".....no beginner's luck there. BUT!! The next time, I'm gonna make sure I WIN!!! LOL!!
