AI Season 6 - My Rave List

I've always been an AI fanatic. Never missed any episodes if I could help it. Last season was really exciting with the boys outshining the gals with the exception of Katharine McPhee!

This season, the gals seem to be taking over haha....although yesterday's episode showed that the guys had potential too. Yep, all boils down to song choice!

So far, here are my favs:

Guys

Blake Lewis - Damn cool and confident guy. Ok, vocals not really big and strong but really interesting to watch.

Chris Richardson - Love his puppy-dog eyes! Love his voice too. Even honey says he's got a really nice and charming voice. Just a certain charm about him.

Good luck to my 2 fav guys for the results show today. (I'll be super pissed if Sanjaya stays and one of my favs get booted!)

Gals

Jordin Sparks - Really sparkling up the idol stage, this amazing 17-yr-old. Totally dig her powerful vocals and fantastic voice control. Hope she stays really really long (till finale?!)

Melinda Doolittle - Absolutely fabulous singer and performer. Everytime she sings, I just feel so moved. Like a pussycat when she's not singing and then when she starts her song.....ooooh lala!!

Gina Glocksen - Just had to put her in my favs list. I love a lady singer who can rock! Who says only men can sing rock? This season, I'm glad to have at least one rock singer...even happier that it's a lady. Love her voice and a-t-t-i-t-u-d-e!!

Can't wait for the results show tonight but then at the same time, I'm dreading the results. Who knows who will be out tonight.

Goodbye really is the hardest word...

Jolene is really leaving....real soon too, in 5 days' time to be exact.

Yeap guess the reality of it is really just dawned on me after our farewell do for her at Shangri-la yesterday. Ok, I'm slow to react. After dropping the gals off in the cab, I was staring out at the passing roads and scenes until they all became a blur. Playing in my mind instead like a video were all the good (and bad) times Jol and I had shared through the years.

She was the first friend I had in the company. A friendly and welcoming colleague who remains my bestest pal now. I'll miss all the goofing around, laughing at silly jokes only we will find hilarious, slamming irritating colleagues together, supporting each other all the time, etc. I'll probably scare the new gal by poking her shoulders for no apparent reason few times a day. It will be weird that she won't be coming back to office in a month or 2. It will be weird to walk past her table and not see her there. It will be weird not to have someone to walk to pantry with and find junk food to eat. It will just be plain weird that she's not in SG!! I hate goodbyes! I'll probably start crying at the airport and set everyone else off but that's not gonna stop me from being there and saying bon voyage to her.

Jol, I'll miss you very very much!!! But I'll see you in 2009 for your wedding. Really looking forward to seeing you all dolled up and pretty for your once in a lifetime event. Looking forward to seeing your love nest which I'm sure will be very pretty with your impeccable taste. Looking forward also to meeting Big Bro!

Go and have a fabulous life in NZ, as you're so worth it! Very excited for you....really am!
