Plenty of Updates.....where to start and end?!

Hi all...I've been "away" a long time. Since the time I left for a short cruise till now, I haven't managed to find the time to update my blog. Now, I'm going to do it all in one update. I can predict its really going to be a lengthy one.

Short Getaway with the Family

Right....first off....about my cruise to Port Klang with my family on board Superstar Virgo. It was ok...relaxing but kinda boring and too short this time. But it was nice to get away from the office even if for a few days! But then I really missed my honey!! Absence really does make the heart grow fonder! Couldn't wait to see him and celebrate his birthday with him on 20/11/04!! Got some photos below of me and my monkey sister - the big moo and the small moo...haha!




Minus a "Friend"

There has been some upset with a friend, or rather, someone I thought was a friend. to keep it short. I found out that this so-called friend has been sneaking around behind our backs and spouting plenty of untruths, making up stories, blah blah blah... Although her actions did not affect me a lot, it affected another friend. What I loathe most in this world is vindictiveness, betrayal and hypocrisy. I happen to know someone with all these like that before and since that time, I know I simply cannot forgive and forget when it comes to people like that. Friendships should be based on trust, loyalty and honesty. Once the trust is broken, disloyalty and betrayal has been shown, there's no way for me to accept that friend again. How I am towards my friends, I expect no less or more from them.

I'm not one who will waste my any time on things or people who are not worth it so enough said. Let me just say, it is very disappointing when this sort of thing happen and it spoils a friendship but if that person doesn't know the true meaning of what being a friend is, then there's really no point.

Great Fun Pigging Out & Working Out!!

Last Fri 26/11, had dinner with Jolene and Lewis. Didn't meet Alan because he was on duty, poor guy! The 3 of us went to Marina South for steamboat and bbq. We ate so much that we almost couldn't get out of our seats. Actually wanted to adjourn to the bowling alley after that but changed our minds because we didn't want to throw up all over the lanes! We went to Cineleisure to see if there're any movies to catch but didn't find any so we went to eat and drink....again....at Lips cafe. We ordered 2 sinful desserts to share....more pics here...



Since we had nowhere to go after all that makaning, they decided to drop by my place. And so, Jolene and Lewis met the furry lovelies at my house...dog, cat, hamsters...sister....oops!! En-route to my place, we ran into bad weather boy...could hardly see the outside of the car. Lucky, we made it to my place in one piece each and didn't miss any exits this time. Our jeans were all wet by the time we got to my place. Yet more pics here....(see how the 2 of them "terrorize" my poor nana...smokey is smart, she went to hide...haha!!)



The next day, Saturday!! Badminton day!! Played badminton with Alan, Jolene, Lewis and Sarah! Had a great workout boy!! Till now whole body still aching...I really enjoy playing badminton! We're all going to play every Sat! Yippee!!

After the workout, we went to makan (what's new?!) then we went ktv at Tampines. Lewis was so funny...it was the first time we actually heard him sing so many songs. He seems to have suddenly realised that he really isn't bad at singing! Aha...budding new talent among us!! I guess with everything else, singing is also something anyone can do with confidence....just believe in yourself and focus and you'll be able to do it! If still can't, I recommend my vocal teacher!!

Oh, after the ktv, we went to eat again...gelato!! Yummy!! More pics of us pigging out...



On Sun, went with Alan to Suntec to watch Bridget Jones Diary. It was funny and sad and romantic but the first one was much better!

It was a great weekend!! So fast, today is Mon again!! So bloody tired and kept trying not to doze off in the office...sighs....I guess its time for bed now!! Goody nite everyone! Have a great week ahead!!

A Fruitful Day

Today is Hari Raya!! Selamat Hari Raya to all muslims!!

Me went out with Ange the whole day today. We "accomplished" so many tasks! First we had a nice breakfast (a bit rush but still nice). After the yummy breakfast, we went to do our pedicures at Good Earth Nail Spa at Plaza Singapura. Had a hard time choosing colours (what's new?! ) I decided on a shimmery brownish shade in the end.

After the pedicure, we had to run off to Suntec to do our eyebrow trimming. Along the way, we stopped at some shops and window-shopped. I saw the Da Vinci Code special edition with illustrations inside!! Super duper absolutely want it (Santa, are you reading this?!)!!!!! Undecided whether to buy or not....have to think about it coz its not cheap. So then we did eyebrows at Suntec then went walking circles round the fountain food area, just can't decide what to have for lunch! Eventually, we went into NYDC. We shared a really large bowl of salad and few pieces of garlic toast. Then we continued our window-shopping. Went into Iora, my fav clothes store, hoping to find some new clothes to update my wardrobe but then instead of me buying, Ange bought a top and me left the shop empty-handed!

After I've bought my supply of contact lenses, Ange and I had a nice cool healthy cup of Yami yoghurt! Then made our way to the Raffles City to check out the skincare counters in Robinsons. We walked around, looked at skincare, makeup, bags, etc. I bought Beautain hair serum (highly recommended by Ange!). We then decided to go to Tampines to walk walk. So we reached Tampines and went to Metro to spend our money. Ange bought a pair of slip-ons and I bought Sally Hansens foot cream and eyeliner from Kate. Here are the stuff I bought:




At Tampines, Mark came to have dinner with us and we went to Ajisen! Then they both came up to my place for a short while coz I wanted to pass Ange my Maksim cd and they wanted to meet my furry dears. Haha....it was a great day hanging out with Ange and Mark!

Still plenty of things to buy this month...clothes, more makeup, books....the list goes on and on! But I can't go on anymore....too tired from all the shopping today. My feet are really killing me! I'm gonna go try my new foot cream now. Then, KO on my bed!! Only one more day of holiday then back to work on Tuesday!

Botanic Gardens....Here we come!!

Oh no! Metro had a weekend sale - storewide 20% off from Friday to Sunday! And guess what? I went to 2 different Metros on Friday and Saturday and bought so many things!! I've decided to ban myself from going to Metro on Sunday in case I buy somemore stuff!

Went to watch A Shark Tale on Friday with my honey. It was well...so-so. Not really funny and it's really quite pointless. Of course, I couldn't help comparing it with Finding Nemo. The latter wins hands down, no doubt about it! A Shark Tale just doesn't have a good storyline, nor a good moral, nor any heartwarming, tear-jerking moments. All the elements of a great show it doesn't have. I find it all quite pretentious actually. Sure, it did have some funny moments but were all blah to me.

Today's a lazy Sunday, slept late last night and woke up quite late this morning. Actually planned to go Botanic Gardens for a walk in the morning with my honey but then now gotta change plans and go in the late afternoon. Have to remember to bring my camera! I love to take pictures of flowers, trees, birds, etc. Hope I get to see some swans. The last time we went there, the lake was empty due to some upgrading works going on.

Hmmm....wonder what Ange is doing in HK now? Lucky gal, must be shopping and eating till she drops!!

Have to go get ready, my honey's coming to pick me up about 3 and I take ages to shower, get dressed and made up! Darn....I just remembered that I need a sunblock for body, well, must get it soon! Off to the Gardens!!

Back from the Botanic Gardens. So disappointed! Didn't get to see the swans again...this time even the swan lake has been blocked up. The place seems to be undergoing major upgrading works and will finish only in early 2005. I've gotta go there again next year. I'm not gonna rest till I actually see some swans there! Anyways, took some photos....just to share a few here...

Well, I may not have seen much of anything in the Gardens today but then at the very least, my legs were given a nice workout!

Sigh....can't believe its back to work again tomorrow! Isn't it amazing how the weekend just whizzes past so fast?!

A Short One

Hey there, everyone. Was sick again yesterday. Sick, Sick , Sick!!! Becoming the story of my life!! I hope I recover for good this time!! I've never been so sickly! I just can't stand it!
