Tragedy strikes again.....

First it was my grandma, not even 3 months later, it's my beloved cousin. Fuck....what have my family done to deserve this? This time is even worse coz it was totally, utterly shocking, I never would have expected this would happen ever to any of my family and friends.

We're all badly hit again, having barely recovered from the grief of my grandma's passing. This time round, there are many more factors to sadden and madden all of us. So, please....the media.....please F*** off if you have nothing concrete and truthful to report. Leave us alone!! Don't be PESTS!!

Crazy Days!

Have you ever tried to put together a whole event like a dinner & dance with just 2 persons doing almost everything?!?!? Well, if you havent, I hope you never have to. If you do, then you'll know what a crazy scramble it is for Jol and me right now. Counting down to the D&D with apprehension.....God knows how it will turn out!

Add to that mad scramble, the usual nightmarish monthly meeting my department's gotta do. A day before the D&D.......ARRRRRRGHHHHH!! Why does everything have to happen at the same time?!?!

Gone to tear down some walls..............(WILL Be BACK soooon!)

** Edited to add: So typical that in a committee of 6 (4 guys, 2 gals), it's the 2 gals who end up doing EVERYTHING!! Guys are so useless!!

Bookworm in Action!

I went with honey to the MPH sale today! Was so exciting! So many books and all on the floor in cardboard boxes. I was bending down and squatting down so much, I was quite giddy when I stepped out of the sale.

BUT! It was all worth it to me. A bookworm in every sense of the word, I feel so happy surrounded by books and the best part is they're all so cheap! I bought 6 books which cost me just over 30 bucks.

My new books:

1) One Child by Torey Hayden
2) Beautiful Child by Torey Hayden
3) Man & Wife by Tony Parsons
4) All He Ever Wanted by Anita Shreve
5) To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
6) Getting to Manana by Miranda Innes

Already started One Child and I finished more than half of it in about 3 hours. While honey was napping, I was fighting sleepiness to keep on reading that book. Very gripping. About a very disturbed and violent 6 year old child who was sent to join the author's class for special children after she burned a 3 year old boy. The girl is deemed crazy and a lost cause and was ordered to be put into a mental institution. While waiting for a space in the institution, they put her in the author's class. The author tried very hard to get through to the little girl and soon she realised that this girl is gifted beyond her imagination (IQ of like 182!!) but has violent tendencies due to her family background. Well, that's about where I stopped when I put down the book (because I could no longer ignore the growling stomach).

I wish I had time and energy to search for more books to buy, not to mention the $$$. But, I'm very happy with my purchases already!! Gonna spend tonight and tomorrow reading and reading and reading........and reading..........and reading..................(you get the idea).

Have good weekend, everyone!

Bookworm OUT!
