A Day for Me!

I took leave on Friday (yesterday) just because.....

Can't remember the last time I took time off from work just to laze around and do some stuff by myself so I decided that the day after my MSCP meeting was a good time to take leave.

I woke up LATE.....went to have lunch with my family (which is a rare occasion), then went down to Orchard to do some shopping alone. Sometimes I do love to do my shopping alone. Sure, doing it with friends can be fun and more exciting but usually I end up buying nothing. Meaning when alone, I can spend like nobody's business. No critical eye on the things I'm buying and no "Wah, so ex!" comments on the money I'm spending. It's a great thing to do once in a while....it feels empowering to be able to get out there and buy stuff without having to listen to anyone else's comments except those in my own head. So yeah basically, I blew about $280 on clothes in Iora (after the VIP discount!)!

Then I went to Chezvous for a haircut.....yet more money flying out. I just enjoy the slow and steady way my stylist goes about doing my hair, very unhurried. I love the attention and I also love the end result.....and I'd better....it does cost a bomb!

After my haircut I went shopping around again, walking in and out of any shops I want to while waiting for honey to come meet me. We're gonna meet Kelvin and Jocelyn for dinner and movie later. After we had dinner at the basement of Cineleisure, we had plenty of time to spare before the movie so we walked to Heeren to this shop owned by honey's friend Benno....and yes the name of the shop is Benno. He's one of the local designers to look out for featured in Her World. His clothes are lovely and feminine and each piece doesnt have more than 10 pieces but all that comes with a hefty price tag. I might consider shopping there for a special occasion. A VERY special occasion.

We watched Deuce Bigalow that night and had a load of laughs. Yeah, it is a silly and sexed-up movie and the jokes are really corny but then it was a great way to destress.....laughter's the best medicine or so they say! Interesting movie.....laughed at the Man-whore union and all the things these man-whores talk about. Actually there was one MAIN thing they talked nonstop about.....their little thingy hanging there.....(like what is the fuss all about???).

I was pooped when I reached home but then dilly dally here and there, I only managed to hit the sack about 1 am plus. Darn...going to the Doc on Saturday morning for my follow-up consultation for my hypo-thyroidism. For those who don't know, yep, I have that Hashimoto thingy where my body's anti-immune system is attacking my thyroid gland and therefore I end up with a not-active-enough gland so for the past 3 weeks I have been taking thyroidsine to replace the hormones which are not being produced. I think in another 3 weeks, I will have to take another blood test to see if the medicine is helping or not.
